We are Stefan Onrust (Chef) and Talitha Maria (Maître) and we opened Restaurant Cristal in 2014, named after Louis Roederer’s top Cuvee. Together with Jonathan Fenies (Sous Chef) we form the core team of Cristal.
Living in the Caribbean brought a new world of cooking styles and exotic products which we now integrate in the classic French way of preparing food. Local products like Okra (jambo), Kabritu (goat), Bulado (flying fish) and Alablanca (pigeon) are now the main ingredients of our dishes; Surprisingly tasteful with an exotic flavour.
Our beautiful monumental building, in the middle of sparkling Pietermaai, has been renovated 6 years ago. With respect to the architecture and the history of the building we kept the feeling of an intimate private residence to make you feel at home. With cozy corners, a private room, terrace and a Chef’s table in the patio we have plenty of unique spaces for a romantic dinner, sociable gatherings with family or friends or to have a business lunch.

My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary in Curaçao. Cristal was highly recommend by our hotel staff. But it exceeded our expectations. From being warmly welcomed by one of its owners, till the tasty dishes. The atmosphere is truly romantic.
